堀了介 Ryosuke HORI
– CELLO BOW, Peccatte SPECIAL model
Like my Peccatte bow I own, I hope this newly made bow would be passed on through the generations, and someday be sought after as the original in the future.
Ryosuke Hori started playing cello under a guidance of Hideo Saito. After his winning of the first prize at the 36th Music Competition of Japan, he went abroad to study at Konservatorium Wien Privatuniversität, and got coaching from Pierre Fournier. He was a principle cello player in NHK Symphony Orchestra in Tokyo. Besides his solo activities, he participates Saito Kinen Orchestra and Mito Chamber Orchestra.
Now he serves as Professor Emeritus of Tokyo College of Music, and Vice president of Japan Cello Society.
